招生对象： 专业概况 所属院系 中国学生入学要求 课程信息 专业概况 在这里学什么？ The Admission Preparation Program (APP) prepares international high school students for academic success in an American university, with a supported transition into to their undergraduate degree program where they can earn college credit while acclimating to university life abroad. APP students receive personalized advising, and participate in classes, seminars, and workshops that develop academic soft skills like intercultural and socio-emotional awareness and understanding; critical thinking and analysis; time management; and real-world problem solving. They will also refine key technical academic skills like analytical reading, academic writing, research, presentation, and academic English language to help them succeed in the American college classroom. Another benefit of APP is extended timelines for UC undergraduate admission application submission, and this year, a waived SAT UC admission requirement. This year, students will participate in a hybrid program that combines online learning with in-person class sessions. Students gain up to 36 undergraduate credits prior to university admission, and they may even be able to start their first year as a sophomore vs. a freshman. What You'll Learn Program Objectives Students will receive dedicated academic and acculturative advising. Students will gain an understanding of the American college application process. Students will have an extended UC application submission timeline. Students will not have to submit SAT scores as part of their 2021 UC undergraduate admission application. Students will be able to articulate and demonstrate intercultural and socio-emotional awareness and understanding. Students will develop critical academic skills to ensure college course success. Students will improve their academic English speaking and writing. Students will participate in campus academic and student life experiences in both the online and face-to-face classroom settings.
